Our first stop was Earnestine & Hazel's, complete with a private tour of the upstairs where guests stayed (guests including Ray Charles) back in the day, local 3 piece jazz artists playing for tip money, and beer brewed and bottled just a few doors away. His 1955 Mauve Cadillac purred to a stop and we hopped in. Yep, He picked us up for a night of Blues Juke Joints at our hotel exactly as planned. He is knowledgeable about Memphis, about the music scene, about the local culture, and serves it up in style. He has some great stories about Elvis fans too!īe sure and ask Tad about some of his interesting Elvis fans!īe sure and tell Tad that you say my review on Tripadvisor too! and he gives you more information than you can absorb during his 3 hours tour. Tad is very knowledgeable about Memphis and Elvis. with our windows rolled down.taking in the sights, sounds and smells of Memphis. We felt like celebrities while riding with Tad. Tad himself is somewhat of a Celebrity.as it seemed he knew folks all over Memphis! and showed us all the neat places that most tours will never mention or take you to.Īs we rode along.folks would wave, and shout things such as: "Like your Car", "Sweet Ride" or "How Much will you take for that Cadillac"?
